By using the Nova website building service offered by Bright Star Web Studios ("we," "us," or "Company"), you ("Client" or "you") agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our service. These terms apply to all clients, regardless of how you found us or which pricing option you selected.
Nova by Bright Star Web Studios provides an AI-powered website building service. The process works as follows:
We reserve the right to update, modify, or discontinue features of the service with reasonable notice to active clients.
Activation Fee: A one-time activation fee is required to publish and host your website. The current rates are:
Your quoted price at the time of your form submission is the price that will apply to your activation.
Monthly Hosting: $47/month — Covers web hosting, security monitoring, software updates, and site maintenance. Your first month begins upon activation. Billing continues monthly on the same date.
Payment: All payments are processed securely through Stripe. We accept all major credit and debit cards. By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge your card for the activation fee and recurring monthly subscription.
No Upfront Payment: You are never charged before reviewing your preview. Payment is only required if you choose to activate.
Before any payment is collected, you will receive a full preview of your completed website. By submitting payment, you confirm that you have reviewed the preview and accept the website as built (subject to reasonable revisions outlined below).
If you choose not to activate after viewing your preview, you owe nothing and your submitted data will be deleted within 30 days.
After reviewing your preview, you are entitled to request reasonable revisions before activation. "Reasonable revisions" include corrections to text, color adjustments, section reordering, and content updates based on what you originally submitted.
The following are not covered under standard revisions and may incur additional charges:
Monthly Hosting: You may cancel your $47/mo subscription at any time by contacting us at info@brightstarweb.com. Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period. No partial-month refunds are issued.
Activation Fee: The one-time activation fee is non-refundable once your site has been published live. If your site has not yet gone live and you have a legitimate concern, contact us and we will work to resolve it.
Site Takedown on Cancellation: If your monthly subscription lapses or is cancelled, your website will be taken offline. You will receive 7 days notice before this occurs. You can export your site files at any time by requesting them from us.
Your Content: You retain full ownership of all content you provide to us — your business name, photos, text, logo, and any materials you submit. You are granting us a license to use that content solely to build and host your website.
Our Tools & Templates: The underlying code, design systems, and AI prompts used to build your website are the intellectual property of Bright Star Web Studios. The final website delivered to you is yours to use and own.
Portfolio Use: By activating your website, you grant Bright Star Web Studios the right to display your website in our portfolio and marketing materials as an example of our work, unless you opt out by notifying us in writing.

We reserve the right to refuse service or terminate an account if submitted content violates these terms or applicable law.
Our service is provided "as is." While we work hard to build professional, high-quality websites, we cannot guarantee specific business outcomes, search engine rankings, traffic levels, or revenue results from your website. Website performance depends on many factors outside our control.
Bright Star Web Studios' total liability to you for any claim related to our service will not exceed the total amount you have paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost revenue or business opportunities.
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Active clients will be notified of material changes via email with at least 14 days notice. Your continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Texas, and both parties consent to that jurisdiction.
